Mobile India Expo 2024: Dubai-based Endefo's CEO Aneef Tas aims to go big by capturing the trend of evolving tech, including smart rings and automation-based IoT products. The company will introduce the smart finger accessory in India this year. More IoT devices are in the pipeline, Tas added.
Mobile India Expo 2024: The 7th Mobile India Expo is now live at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, with a wide range of tech companies showcasing their diverse product portfolio. One of them is Endefo, a Dubai-based smart electronics maker. As the firm exhibits its wide range of gizmos at its Experience Booth, ranging from audio, wearables and car and mobile accessories, CEO Aneef Tas aims to go big by capturing the trend of evolving tech, including smart rings and automation-based IoT products.
Established in 2018, the global brand (with a presence in six GCC countries) will follow a segmented approach with products serving customers in the budget and premium class in India. The course will include a planned funds infusion of up to 200 crore and establishing a strong brand recall through its consumer-facing tech products and innovations.

So, I sat down with Endefo’s CEO to talk on several touch points ranging from how the brand aims to scale its presence in India and discussed more about the products at the tech showcase. Here are the key takeaways from the conversation and my hands-on experience.
Tas told us that the research and development of the upcoming Endefo smart ring is already in the works, and the product will be launched in India this year. He added all the gadgets distributed in the country would be produced locally. Endefo also plans to introduce smart glasses and other IoT devices in the coming months. These are a part of the planned roadmap.

When questioned about an eSIM (or physical SIM) enabled smartwatch from Endefo, Tas expressed the challenges of maintaining a secondary SIM, which adds monetary expense and can hinder the growth of this lineup of watches. However, it can be a good purchase for parents who wish to substitute smartphones for their kids for communication, he added. Besides the latest Enfit Neo series, the company plans to introduce AMOLED screens, the latest connectivity technologies and improved health monitoring in its upcoming offerings.

While exploring the products on display, I was drawn to the “Bullet” portable speakers. It offers unique capacitive touch controls for adjusting volume and changing tracks, an unmatched trick in the sub-Rs 1,500-2,000 price category, according to Endefo’s boss. Another eye-catching budget offering was the Entunz Glam “True Wooden Speaker”, which has a retro appeal inspired by classic radio systems. After loud listening, we headed to the earphones and TWS section.

As smartphone companies crave a headphone jack-free future, Tas shares with enthusiasm that the market for wired earphones will coexist with ANC and ENC wireless alternatives and still have room for growth in the budget space in India. While showcasing the special bits from the exhibit, Tas presented a car accessory which can extend the charging capabilities of one charging port in a car to multiple USB points using the device.

Plus, GaN chargers, power banks and a range of USB-C and Lighting cables were also allocated space at the event. “Endefo aims to serve the Indian customer and become a one-stop solution for all your needs that complement your smartphone experience,” Tas stated. According to the CEO, the company will focus on building a strong brand recall by offering quality products to achieve this endeavour.
