Peseiro led Super Eagles to 2023 AFCON final
Sports Minister John Owan Enoh has said the next foreign coach for the Super Eagles must be a first-class coach, who will command the respect of the players and be convinced he can qualify Nigeria to the 2026 World Cup.
The NFF have announced they will appoint a new foreign coach to lead the Super Eagles before the 2025 AFCON qualifiers begin in September.
“It has to be a name that will inspire the spirit of our nation,” Sports Minister John Enoh told Eagle7 FM
“He has to be a first-class coach with a track record, a pedigree, who will earn the respect of our players.”
However, the minister also said it is the responsibility of the NFF to pay such a coach.
He said the Federal Government alone cannot continue to fund sports in the country and as such he is exploring other options like the private sector, wealthy Nigerians as well as crowd funding to boost the financial base of sports.
I wonder why you need a foreign coach when you have those who can do the job well at home but your ineptitude won’t allow you to judge right.
Amuneke applied for the job but you decided to give it to Finidi because you know he’s a stooge he won’t argue with you but do your biddings but you can see the result now.
Now you are looking for sponsors to pay foreign coach.I think all of you at the NFF should be sacked you are Super Eagles nightmare.
