Premier League teams are stepping up their transfer business with less than two weeks left before the start of the new season, as Manchester United continue to splash the cash as they are close to sealing a deal to land Erik ten Hag a new striker in Rasmus Hojlund. The Red Devils have already brought in Mason Mount and Andre Onana, but are not planning to stop after a £72million deal for the Atalanta striker.
Sofyan Amrabat is next being targeted, but United may have to offload the likes of Scott McTominay and Fred to West Ham and Galatasaray respectively. The club are being hampered by Financial Fair Play and their ongoing takeover, but that has not stopped Ten Hag from adding serious quality to his squad.
While Arsenal are still looking to bring in competition for Bukayo Saka after getting the majority of their business done early by landing Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber.
Liverpool are aiming to bolster their midfield with Southampton’s Romeo Lavia as Fabinho is set to join Jordan Henderson in leaving Anfield for Saudi Arabia, but may face competition from Chelsea as they struggle to agree a fee with Brighton for their star man Moises Caicedo. The Reds have also been linked with a sensational loan deal for a certain Kylian Mbappe.
Express Sport keeps you posted with all the latest from the summer market including all the done deals and gossip on Sunday, July 30.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has decided to turn his attentions to Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, with Arsenal chasing the transfer of Brentford shot-stopper David Raya. The Blues had been linked with Raya earlier in the transfer window after the Spain international kept 12 Premier League clean sheets last term.
Express Sport understands that Chelsea will push for Sanchez after making enquiries into the 25-year-old’s availability earlier this summer. Sanchez lost his place to Jason Steele at Brighton last season, with the Sussex side since bolstering their goalkeeping options by snapping up Bart Verbruggen from Anderlecht.
PSG ‘would love’ to do business with Liverpool to cash in on Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano. But it seems likely that the player would put a stop to any potential move.
The transfer guru has said that Mbappe remains determined to sign for Real Madrid, either now or when his contract runs out next summer, and is not prepared to join any other club as a result.
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has admitted he thought about quitting the Red Devils before Erik ten Hag took the helm at Old Trafford. The England international went on to enjoy an incredible campaign under the Dutchman and bagged 30 goals in 56 matches.
Rashford saw his form nosedive under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick during the 2021/22 season as United underwhelmed on the pitch. And after being asked during the Red Devils’ pre-season tour of the USA whether there was a point last summer when he considered moving on, Rashford replied: “Before the manager came maybe a little bit – but it’s football, it happens.
“Everything is going to happen for a reason and he came to the club at the right time for me – the timing worked out.”
Arsenal could now be the frontrunners to sign David Raya as the Brentford goalkeeper would reportedly prefer to move to the Gunners rather than Bayern Munich.
According to CBS Sports, if Bayern and Arsenal were both to agree a deal with Brentford, Raya would opt to move to the Emirates Stadium. But the goalkeeper is still assessing his options and could change his mind based on the pitches from both clubs.
Chelsea are negotiating a sensational player-plus-cash deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Kylian Mbappe, according to the Daily Record, as Nasser Al-Khelaifi continues to push the 24-year-old superstar towards the exit door.
The outlet is reporting that Chelsea are already in talks over a swap deal package with PSG that also includes a significant sum of cash as the Blues attempt to keep the cost of the transfer down.Kylian MbappeChelsea have reportedly agreed a £38million deal in principle with Monaco for defender Axel Disasi. The Athletic are reporting that Chelsea have now tied up an agreement for Disasi with Monaco after pipping Manchester United and Newcastle to his signature.
Chelsea entered the summer with hopes of snapping up Brighton ace Moises Caicedo, but have so far been unsuccessful in their attempts to prise the midfielder away from the American Express Community Stadium.
According to The Sun, Pochettino wanted a deal to sign Caicedo wrapped up early so the player could join the Blues squad on their pre-season tour of the USA. And the delay has grated on the 51-year-old.
Arsenal are exploring a deal to snap up Spain goalkeeper David Raya from Brentford, according to The Athletic. The Gunners are keen to take the 27-year-old to the Emirates Stadium so he can compete with Aaron Ramsdale for a starting place.
Arsenal are yet to submit an offer for the shot-stopper – but the Bees are aware of their interest.David RayaTottenham could sign centre-back Clement Lenglet on a permanent basis in a matter of days, according to Spanish publication Sport. The 28-year-old spent last season on loan in north London and made 35 appearances for the Lilywhites.
Barcelona want Lenglet gone by the end of the coming week and are demanding just shy of £13million in exchange for his services.
Mauricio Pochettinho has a serious player on his hands.
New £26m acquisition Lesley Ugochukwu is the modern day professional with shades of a familiar Chelsea legend.

Now, Spanish outlet AS claim that after snubbing Inter Miami and clubs in Belgium, Hazard is considering the possibility of hanging up his boots.
He and his family are settled in Madrid and want to continue living there, but no teams based in the city have offered him a contract as of yet.

Fabrizio Romano has stated that the Bundesliga side are determined to find a resolution with Brentford, as they look to tie up a deal in the next week.

Tottenham star Harry Kane is reportedly on the verge of joining Bayern Munich, with discussions set to resume next week between the two clubs.
The Daily Mail claim that the German giants are growing in confidence that they can agree a fee with Spurs to sign the England captain this summer.
