Crystal Palace vs Liverpool LIVE!
Liverpool have gone top of the Premier League table following another dramatic late show to see off Crystal Palace. The Reds will sit at the summit at least until former leaders Arsenal play third-place Aston Villa later on Saturday evening, having come from behind to register another chaotic win at Selhurst Park.
The Reds fell behind just shy of the hour mark in the lunchtime kick-off when a penalty was awarded following a VAR check for young Jarell Quansah’s kick on half-time substitute Jean-Philippe Mateta, who dusted himself down to send the returning Alisson Becker the wrong way from the spot. That came after Palace had seen a first-half penalty award from referee Andy Madley overturned after a lengthy VAR review, Virgil van Dijk’s trip on Odsonne Edouard in the box negated by what was eventually deemed a foul from Will Hughes on Wataru Endo.
Palace saw Jordan Ayew sent off for a second bookable offence before Mohamed Salah equalised with his 200th Liverpool goal – and 150th in the Premier League – just 98 seconds later, with Harvey Elliott then arrowing in his first of the season in stoppage time to spark bedlam in the away end. A cruel defeat was particularly costly for Palace, who lost Sam Johnstone, Edouard and Jefferson Lerma to injury as well as Ayew to suspension with Manchester City up next. Follow Crystal Palace vs Liverpool reaction live below, with updates and analysis from Standard Sport’s Dom Smith at Selhurst Park.

Full-time
Another sobering home loss for Crystal Palace but Liverpool now leapfrog Arsenal with another dramatic late show and go top of the Premier League table by a single point.
Over to the Gunners, who face a tough trip to high-flying Aston Villa in third this evening.
112 mins: This is incredible as still we play on and still Palace pile on the pressure in search of an equaliser.
Klopp will be tearing his hair out on the sidelines.
Ahamada now into the book for the Eagles. How many yellows is that in total for both teams? Nine?
100 mins: So close to the most unlikely last-gasp equaliser from 10-man Crystal Palace!
Olise flights in a great free-kick from the right to the back post, where Alisson gets down to repel Andersen’s header.
What a game this has been.
Think he may have been offside, though. It was close.
98 mins: A real flurry of yellows this afternoon as Andersen and Gomez now go into the book late.
Palace have sent young midfielder Ozoh on for Hughes for the final moments.
94 mins: GOAA… NO!
Diaz thinks he has put the finishing touches on another dramatic late Liverpool win over London opponents, to follow last weekend’s 4-3 stunner against Fulham, but he’s rightly denied by the offside flag.
Liverpool fans now in fine voice, as you might expect. It looked absolute bedlam in that away end after the fine Elliott strike.
91 mins: No they can’t!
Substitute Elliott, just 10 seconds into those 10 minutes of stoppage time, receives the ball from Salah, sells a little feint to Mateta and then rifles a brilliant shot past a diving Matthews with little pressure offered up from Richards.
A massive, massive goal for Liverpool – Elliott’s first of the season. The Reds are surely now heading top of the Premier League table – for a few hours at least.
What late drama at Selhurst.
90 mins: Crystal Palace’s 10 men are absolutely under siege here as we enter 10 minutes of stoppage time.
Can they hold out? Cross after cross into the box from Liverpool…
85 mins: Ahamada on for Schlupp for Palace.
Now things get even worse for the 10-man hosts with goalkeeper Johnstone down and receiving treatment.
With Dean Henderson also injured, it’s Remi Matthews who will come on for the end of this game.
A long delay means we will have plenty of stoppage time.
Palace have already lost Edouard and Lerma today remember, while Ayew is now suspended.
They have more seriously tough fixtures coming up, including Manchester City away next weekend.
Salah is just the fifth Liverpool player to score 200 goals for the club by the way, after Ian Rush, Roger Hunt, Gordon Hodgson and Billy Liddell.
It was also his 150th strike in the Premier League. What a player.
79 mins: Palace have gone from being on course for a huge, huge win here to trying desperately just to hold out for a point.
A vital clearance behind from Gomez’s cross before Andersen clears the corner.
Hodgson booked for his protests after the Ayew sending off and Salah’s equaliser.
