Google India will now let users flip results between English and Hindi – The Indian Express
Google has rolled out a new tab on Google Search, that will allow users to view their search results in Hindi. Keeping in mind the Indian users, the new tab gives them a way to flip between English and Hindi when using the Google Search app.
“For example, you may search for “samachar” in English, but you would rather be better served with results for a Hindi query “समाचार”. This works not just for “Samachar” but all queries,” said Shekhar Sharad, Product Manager, International Search, Google in a blogpost.
Users can search for anything ranging from health queries to favourite movies and celebrities. It is easy to use. Simply type queries in English and the Google tool will show results for Hindi as well in a new tab. Users can flip the tabs to see search results in both English and Hindi.
The new Google tab search feature has already started rolling out for mobile users on all browsers except UCBrowser and Opera Mini. It is available in Bihar, Chattisgarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Delhi and West Bengal.
