The Sporting CP striker is reportedly a target for Arsenal and has an £86m release clause in his contract.
Victor Osimhen’s likely departure from Napoli has led to reports of their interest in the Swede but sporting director Giovanni Manna described a deal for Gyokeres as “impossible”, as quoted by TMW.
Napoli are thought to prefer Romelu Lukaku of Chelsea or Girona’s Artem Dovbyk once Osimhen is sold, with PSG and Al Ahli named as his most likely destinations.
Tommy Setford is heading to Arsenal in a deal worth just shy of £1m.
According to The Athletic, the Gunners have made a breakthrough in talks with Ajax over the 18-year-old goalkeeper.

No offer has been submitted amid reports Edwards could be available for around £20m of which Spurs would be due a sizeable chunk.
He is understood to be open to a return to the Premier League.
Chelsea and Tottenham are now favourites to sign Desire Doue.
According to L’Equipe, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have lodged bids for the Rennes midfielder but it is the Premier League pair leading the race.
