Back to the late drama at Stamford Bridge now, and Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino said he is "happy" after a "tough, emotional" win over Manchester United.

In fairness to Chris Wilder, it's not just his Sheffield United side that have come unstuck against Liverpool late on.
Alexis Mac Allister put the Reds back in front on 76 minutes before Cody Gakpo sealed victory on 90, so the new Premier League leaders have now scored 26 goals in the final 15 minutes of league matches this season – 10 more than any other side.
They have also won more matches (16) and scored more goals (59) in all competitions in 2024 than any other side across Europe’s big-five leagues.
That has seen them hit the league summit heading into the run-in and is ominous for their title rivals, given there's now just eight games left.

Manager Chris Wilder said his Sheffield United side showed "great personality and character to stay in the game" despite a 3-1 loss at Anfield.

Records weren't just broken at Stamford Bridge last night…
Liverpool enjoyed 83.1% possession in their win over Sheffield United – a record in a Premier League match since Opta began recording this data in 2003-04.
Although the bottom-of-the-table Blades made the Reds work hard for their victory, they are the first top-flight team to concede 80 goals in their first 30 matches in a season since Ipswich Town in 1963-64 (81).
And Liverpool's opening goal – when Darwin Nunez charged down an attempted clearance from goalkeeper Ivo Grbic – means United have now made nine errors leading to opposition goals in the Premier League this season, the most of any side, and six of those have been made by their keepers (five for Wes Foderingham, one for Grbic).

Cole Palmer has now scored eight Premier League penalties for Chelsea this season with only Frank Lampard (10 in 2009-10) scoring more from the spot for the Blues in a single season in the competition.
The 21-year-old England winger has now scored 16 goals in his first season with the Blues, so half of them have come from the spot.
On scoring penalties, Palmer told TNT Sports: "You know, I have taken many penalties. I am not going to miss a penalty, touch wood. To score in the last minute is crazy."

The manner of the defeat was bad enough for Manchester United. But Cole Palmer came through the academy at derby rivals Manchester City before being sold to Chelsea in the summer.
Yet the 21-year-old winger from Wythenshawe actually grew up a United fan. On supporting United, he told TNT Sports: "Yes, when I was growing up.
"I take each game as it comes and show the Chelsea fans."
And on scoring his first career hat-trick he gave a typical Mancunian reply: "Buzzing."

Speaking to TNT Sports, hat-trick hero Cole Palmer was asked how Chelsea managed to come back: "I don't know – 2-0 up and, like I said last week, we had silly mistakes. When the eight minutes got added on it gave us a lift – madness.
"We need to try to win as many games as possible. To win like that, there is nothing better.
"We thought when we scored the second goal the fans lifted us and I saw the gaffer say there were two minutes left and thankfully I scored."

Manchester United had come back from 2-0 down to lead 3-2, with Alejandro Garnacho scoring either side of a header from captain Bruno Fernandes.
And when Erik ten Hag replaced Garnacho with former Chelsea forward Mason Mount on 86 minutes, United fans could have been forgiven for thinking they had done enough to secure a memorable comeback victory.
But Chelsea's new hero Cole Palmer had other ideas… he held his nerve to equalise with his second penalty of the goal. And there was still time for the hosts to earn a corner, from which United left Palmer completely unmarked to receive a pass direct from the corner.
He let fly from the corner of the box and his shot deflected past Andre Onana to give the Blues a stunning victory. Cue absolute scenes at the Bridge…

Cole Palmer scored twice deep into stoppage time to complete his hat-trick and earn Chelsea a remarkable win against Manchester United despite having previously given up a two-goal lead.
The latest winner scored in Premier League history, timed at 100 minutes 39 seconds, stunned United, who led through nine minutes of injury time, and sent Stamford Bridge into delirium.
United were ahead with 99 minutes 17 seconds on the clock, the latest a side has ever led in a Premier League match they have gone on to lose.
