Manchester City meet Brentford again tonight, only a couple of weeks after the pair met at the Gtech and Neal Maupay managed to get right under Kyle Walker's skin.
Maupay is a real wind-up merchant and Walker might be well advised to avoid getting into a verbal spat with the Frenchman, who is on loan at Brentford from Everton, where he had a dreadful time.
However, City boss Pep Guardiola says he is not the best person to advise Walker about how to react.
"Listen, in my period in Barcelona I am in history for having the record for the most yellow cards conceded," he said.
"All the time it was for talk, talk, talk. So it depends, sometimes I controlled [myself], sometimes I behaved crazy.
"People say ‘Ah, he cannot control’. As a football player I was the same. Sometimes there are emotions and it happens."

It seems a weird thing to ask given Manchester City have gone 15 matches since their last defeat, drawing only twice in that time, but Pep Guardiola had to respond to questions about his side's defensive capabilities before Tuesday's Premier League encounter with Brentford.
In those 15 games, City have kept six clean sheets – two at the Club World Cup, one against Championship strugglers Huddersfield in the FA Cup and one against Premier League relegation candidates Sheffield United.
Even for a team as good as City, it is dangerous to keep conceding, which is how they ended up drawing with Chelsea at the weekend – and found themselves behind at Brentford earlier this month.
"We love to have clean sheets," said Guardiola. "All the teams want it and we are no exception.
"But I don't go to them and say: 'You have to get clean sheets.' If I say 'just clean sheets' they forget to play and forget what they have to do.
"What they have to do is defend better – concede few, attack better and create more chances. This is always my target every time I prepare a game or make a meeting with them.
"If we concede goals, we have to improve it. If the goal is avoidable, hopefully next time it doesn't happen."

As well as praising Phil Foden, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has apologised to Kalvin Phillips for saying the midfielder was "overweight" on his return from the Qatar World Cup.
Guardiola made the comments in December 2022, explaining why Phillips had been left out of his squad for a Carabao Cup fourth-round tie against Liverpool.
Phillips said the comments were "a big knock to my confidence" when asked about them earlier this month.
"I'm sorry," said Guardiola. "I do apologise to him. I'm so sorry."
Guardiola said he spoke to the 28-year-old, who joined West Ham on loan last month, about the issue when he returned from a short break immediately after the World Cup.
"I did speak about that," added the City boss. "I never before said something here [to the media] without speaking to the player."

Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden is England's best chance of having a future Ballon d'Or winner, says Brentford manager Thomas Frank.
Foden, 23, has scored 15 goals and assisted 10 more in all competitions for City this season.
The Ballon d'Or is an annual award run by the magazine France Football and co-organised by Uefa, with Michael Owen the last English winner in 2001.
"Phil Foden is a very good player," said Frank.
"For me, he's the closest England get to a Ballon d'Or winner in the future. I think he has that potential, that level."
Foden scored a hat-trick in a 3-1 win at Brentford on 5 February, and they meet again at Etihad Stadium tonight in a Premier League match pushed back from December, when City were involved in the Club World Cup.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has described Brentford striker Ivan Toney as a "threat" before tonight's encounter.
The 27-year-old has scored four goals in five games since returning from an eight-month suspension for breaching the Football Association's betting rules.
The only game Toney did not score in was against City, but he played a significant part in the Bees' goal, holding off defender Nathan Ake to allow the ball to go through to Neal Maupay.
"He is so dangerous," said Guardiola.
"He's a master to use his body for the second ball, good finishing, you can link with him – he's one of the best I've ever seen [at that].
"A few weeks ago. the goal we conceded [to him]. we defended not properly but he did it really well.
"He's a real threat, he always has been."

Manchester City midfielder Rodri has scored six goals and registered four assists in 21 Premier League appearances so far this season.
Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer has been praising the Spanish "Rolls-Royce" on BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club: "That guy, man. It's just a joy to share a football pitch with him. You don't say that about a lot of players.
"He was certainly one of them that when you come off the pitch you think: 'Wow.' I know he gets a lot of credit from the outside but, when you're actually on the pitch with him, you start to think: 'What can't this guy actually do?'"

Time to turn our attention to Manchester City's Premier League fixture with Brentford this evening.
PSV v Borussia Dortmund (20:00 GMT)
While Bayer Leverkusen, sensational under manager Xabi Alonso, are threatening to run away from Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund have long been out of the race.
Dortmund are 17 points behind leaders Leverkusen, facing a battle to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League.
It is a far cry from last season, when Dortmund were one win from breaking Bayern's stranglehold on the German top flight, which has lasted more than a decade.
Dortmund led by two points going into the final day of the 2022-23 season, but a 2-2 draw at home to Mainz allowed Bayern, who won 2-1 at Cologne, to take an 11th successive Bundesliga crown on goal difference.
The sense of what might have been has haunted Dortmund all season – exacerbated by Leverkusen's form. Alonso's side are eight points clear and were hugely impressive 3-0 winners over Bayern earlier this month.
Now Dortmund, who hoped to build on last season's near miss of clinching a first Bundesliga title since 2012, are reliant on the Champions League to stop this campaign being a write-off.

Final bit from Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp's news conference as he expands on Cody Gakpo's return of four goals and three assists in the Premier League: "The numbers are 100% absolutely all right, or even better, but Cody had a bit of struggle in the season which was my fault. And a little bit of the situation we spoke about. Can Cody play a midfield position for us? Yes, he can. In different moments. Is it his position? I would say no.
"The offensive part of the role he can play. With the defensive things, which he was not used to, that cost him confidence in moments. You could see that. He's a boy who came here and was flying from day one pretty much then it was not exactly the same. These things happen and it will help him in the long-term anyway, but not in the short term you cannot directly see it. As long as you can avoid that, probably we won't use him in midfield.
"I don't think he is under the radar. Cody might not say it's the best season of his life but we know how a good a player he is. He is always a threat. He can a threat in the air, on the ground. He's good finisher, good nose for finishing. He can keep the ball for us. Plenty of super things from him which we need."

"Cauley [Woodrow] is ready to go again if he's selected. I was pleased with him the other day, It was a big moment for him to come in late and play well. We've got some good options even though we're missing key players. Whoever we put in we are confident they will do well.
"[Jacob] Brown won't be an option. He's had an operation with the cartilage in his knee."

Murillo was the only person standing between West Ham's Michail Antonio and a free shot at the Nottingham Forest goal. The way the defender slowed Antonio down and then stood him up before dispossessing him wasn't merely impressive, it was defending of the highest quality. Antonio was desperate for the defender to lunge in or commit himself but the Brazilian simply waited for the striker to make his move and read the situation brilliantly.
However, the dismissal of Kalvin Phillips in West Ham's 2-0 defeat was desperately poor. If we're now sending players off for attempting to win the ball, then the game is in a perilous situation. As for Morgan Gibbs-White exaggerating the challenge, and flying through the air like a trapeze artist, he should be ashamed of himself. Getting players sent off is not what the game has ever been about.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on his own adaptability as manager given availability of players: "Always I had to be flexible. It's not a real problem to be honest, if you have enough players available.
"You use the boys you know what you can do. We didn't see it like that [with injuries]. In the moment when we had both natural left-backs out, stuff like this, we found a solution. The solution worked out brilliantly. We didn't have a number six before the season, who can play there, how did we sort that. As long it's not an hour before the game because then it becomes tricky! That's then talk and hope.
"As long as we have a session at least it is fine because everyone the boys are good on the ball. It changes only slightly off the ball. Yes, we had to be flexible but it was good fun rather than a problem to be honest. The thing is we have a situation now where it'd be better when we had no injuries, all fine, you would be talking about the luxury problem. That's true. But at the moment when you have get news, you just deal with it and go from there. We have no excuse. We will go for it.
"There are 5,000 ways to win a game we just have to find one. That should always be possible especially at home where we generate a dynamic where some people can grow above themselves. It's just you can be the best version of themselves. Who cares then about the position you play and the number on your back? It's about what you contribute and can bring. If we didn't know it before we know it this year and the boys like the different approaches based on the team."
