Transfer news LIVE!
Arsenal are still hoping to make Riccardo Calafiori their first new signing of the summer window this week despite reports of possible delays to the deal. A fee of around £42million has been agreed and a medical could be scheduled imminently. Mikel Arteta is also ready to move for Spain star Nico Williams, while Brian Brobbey has also been linked along with a mystery German player.
Chelsea remain as busy as ever as they work on three more signings to add to the five already in the bag. Renato Veiga, Aaron Anselmino and Caleb Wiley are all of interest, while Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi and Porto winger Francisco Conceicao are the latest big names being linked. However, a deal for Victor Osimhen looks dead.
Tottenham continue to be keen on Eberechi Eze and have been tipped to fight for Rennes’ youngster Desire Doue, who is also of interest to half of Europe. Jacob Ramsey and Pedro Neto are alternative targets. Manchester United have been very busy with a £42m bid for Leny Yoro accepted, Matthijs de Ligt expected to join, a third bid for Jarrad Branthwaite incoming and Mason Greenwood leaving for Marseille. Manchester United are expected to be busy this summer amid their dual pursuit of Jarrad Branthwaite and Leny Yoro of Everton and Lille respectively.
Indeed, it seems they could also be set to land a third defensive signing, too.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Matthijs de Ligt has agreed terms ahead of a move from Bayern Munich.
Donny van de Beek says his time at Manchester United has “come to an end” with a move to Spanish side Girona understood to be close to completion.
The Dutch midfielder joined the Red Devils from Ajax in September 2020 for an initial £34.1million but has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford, and spent the second half of last season on loan at German side Eintracht Frankfurt.
He is now poised to make a permanent exit from United, with Girona – who will play in next season’s Champions League – set to be his destination.

Lille defender Leny Yoro has been one of the major names of this summer’s transfer window.
Now, ESPN claim Manchester United have agreed a fee with the French club but Real Madrid are said to remain confident about winning the race…
Joao Palhinha appears to be closing in on a move to Bayern Munich at long last.
According to Florian Plettenburg, the midfielder is supposed to sign his contract with the German giants this week.
While Fulham have not yet given him the green light, the move is said to be close.
Watford have brought midfielder Moussa Sissoko back to the club on a two-year contract.
The former France international joins on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract at Ligue 1 side Nantes.
Sissoko, 34, reunites with his former team-mate and now manager Tom Cleverley having played for the Hornets in their 2021-22 Premier League campaign.
“It’s a statement signing,” Cleverley told watfordfc.com. “I think it shows you the ambition that myself and the club have got moving forward.
“He brings a real powerhouse to the middle of the pitch; he’s a consistent performer.”
Casemiro will take his time over a decision to leave Manchester United.
According to Football Insider, it’s Saudi Arabia or Old Trafford for the Brazilian next season with Man Utd open to letting him go.
But a switch to Europe or elsewhere is not on the table and Casemiro will demand a “huge” offer if he is to move to the Middle East.
He is said to be on £350,000-a-week in Manchester and has two years left on his contract.
Serhou Guirassy has ended speculation over a possible Premier League move by agreeing to join Borussia Dortmund.
According to Sky Germany, the Stuttgart striker has arrived in Dortmund to undergo a medical.
Guirassy scored 28 goals in 28 games last season and was available for a cut-price £17million due to a release clause.
Arsenal have had an opening bid of £50,000 for Wolves goalkeeper Dan Bentley rejected, writes Simon Collings.
The Gunners are in the market for a goalkeeper this summer to provide competition to David Raya and Bentley has been identified as a target.
Arsenal have made an opening offer of £50,000 – and that has been swiftly rejected by Wolves as it is a long way off their valuation.
Bentley has just one year remaining on his contract at Molineux, but Wolves are only interested in selling if the money can be reinvested in the squad.

Marseille’s bid to sign Mason Greenwood from Manchester United has sparked a huge backlash in the French city.
According to various reports, the French side have had an offer worth around £27million accepted for the 22-year-old.
Greenwood has not played for United since being suspended on January 30, 2022, over allegations relating to a young woman after images and videos were posted online.
Mayor Benoit Payan says ir will bring “shame” to the city.
He told French radio station RMC: “Greenwood’s behaviour is unspeakable, unacceptable. Hitting his wife… I saw images that deeply shocked me. Massacring his wife in this way is unbecoming of a man and he cannot have his place on this team.
He added: “The values of OM and Marseille are anything but that in fact. It’s a shame. I will ask [club president] Pablo Longoria not to recruit Greenwood. I don’t want my club to be covered with the shame of someone who hits his wife.”
