The joy of watching three Euro 2024 games a day unfortunately ends this afternoon – but don't worry, it'll be back tomorrow…
Fans have been treated to non-stop action throughout the tournament in Germany so far, with fixtures kicking off at 2pm, 5pm and 8pm.
That has been the case each day since Saturday as countries looked to begin their campaigns in the best way possible.
Unfortunately though, that schedule changes this afternoon…
There are only two Euro 2024 games scheduled for today.
Turkey take on Georgia before Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo enter the tournament as they face the Czech Republic.
Those fixtures are being held at 5pm and 8pm respectively, both on talkSPORT, meaning there is no 2pm game.
But why is this the case?
Well, in fact, it has been common practice throughout the last two Euros campaigns.
It has happened ever since the competition rose from 16 to 24 teams in 2016, with the opening fixture changed to be a standalone game on the first Friday too.

Portugal vs Czech Republic (Leipzig, 8pm) – talkSPORT, BBC
It meant there were 36 group matches and with the first game moved to its own day, all of the other games had to move up the schedule.
And this left only the two games on the first Tuesday which is the case at Euro 2024.
Just because there's no Euros games on, the live sport doesn't stop. That's because it's Day 1 of Royal Ascot and the racing will be coming live from 2pm – on talkSPORT 2.
As annoying as it will be for fans who want to continue their daily routine of football this summer, the two-game schedule is only short-lived.
From Wednesday onwards, there will be at least three games a day again all the way until June 23.
And on June 25 and June 26, there are even FOUR a day!
