Mark Bowen became head of football operations at Reading in May 2022
Reading's head of football operations Mark Bowen has been charged by the Football Association over alleged breaches of betting rules.
Bowen is said to have placed 95 bets on football matches which were unrelated to Reading from April 2022 to January 2024.
The former Norwich and Wales full-back managed the Royals in 2019 and 2020 and then returned to the club in his current role two years ago.
Bowen has until 7 June to respond to the charge.
