Liverpool vs Tottenham LIVE!
Liverpool finally found some form in a 4-2 Premier League victory over Tottenham on Sunday in much-loved manager Jurgen Klopp’s penultimate game at Anfield.
Strikes from Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott pushed Klopp’s men within five points of leaders Arsenal in the table with two games remaining, and four points behind holders Manchester City, who have a game in hand over both.
Liverpool talisman Salah headed home his 18th league goal of the season in the 16th minute before Robertson doubled their lead with a tap-in just before halftime. Gakpo headed in Elliott’s cross in the 50th, then the midfielder bagged his own with a rocket from 20 yards out that curled into the top corner.
Richarlison and Son Heung-min pulled two back to make for a lively ending, but a comeback was not on the cards for Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs who sit fifth in the table.

Talk of Mohamed Salah’s imminent, or even necessary, demise from the Liverpool team looked as premature as ever as he led the Reds to a 4-2 win over Tottenham on Sunday.
The Egyptian scored the opening goal as Spurs were dismantled at Anfield, with Andrew Robertson, Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott all on the scoresheet.
Recap the action with our match report!
Emerson Royal 3
At fault for Liverpool’s first and third goals. Was out of position and up against the menacing Salah, but lax defensively and offers nothing as an inverted full-back.
Heung-min Son 5
Scored to give Spurs some late hope but largely ineffective as the centre-forward again. Struggled to hold up the ball. More comfortable finishing the game back on the left.
Richarlison (Bentancur 61’) 8
Offered Spurs a focal point in attack and got a goal and an assist in an encouraging cameo. Should have started the game.

Liverpool survive a late Tottenham fightback to complete a convincing win!
Darwin Nunez almost makes it five at the death but Guglielmo Vicario is out well to save.
Darwin Nunez is played into space and Cody Gakpo is completely free in the box… but a moment’s hestiation from the Uruguayan allows a Spurs block to divert his pass.
But moments later Liverpool are through again and he does make the pass… Mohamed Salah scores and the flag is up.
Nunez went too early.
Vital touch by Trent Alexander-Arnold halts Richarlison’s dart into the box from a lob over the top.
Spurs look a lot better with a proper striker like the Brazilian to spearhead their frontline.
Alexander-Arnold booked for delaying the restart.
Spurs still have a bit of a go as the board goes up for SEVEN added minutes.
Richarlison’s shot is saved by Alisson and pops up for Brennan Johnson at the far post… Joe Gomez’s intervention turns the ball away!
It was a high boot and VAR will check, but doesn’t look enough to give a penalty.
Johnson clattered the post but looks fine.
Check complete, play on.
Wide from Dominik Szoboszlai after a swift pass into the box by Mohamed Salah. Tough to direct that one home at the near post.
Great work by Jarell Quansah to face up to Richarlison in the box, win the ball and clear.
Dan Kilpatrick at Anfield:
Comeback on? Liverpool have switched off, just like they did at 3-0 in this fixture last season. It’s probably too late but Spurs have some hope with a few minutes plus stoppages to play.
Daring stuff from Trent Alexander-Arnold, who catches the keeper off his line from the halfway line and lands a shot just over the crossbar…
Harvey Elliott replaced by Dominik Szoboszlai.
