Arsenal vs Bournemouth LIVE!
Arsenal have, temporarily at least, gone four points clear of Manchester City at the Premier League summit after brushing aside Bournemouth. The Gunners absolutely dominated the first half of Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off in north London, but had to wait until just before the break to take the lead when Bukayo Saka rolled in a cool penalty following Mark Travers’ foul on Kai Havertz.
The award of the penalty seemed controversial, but it stood after a VAR check. Bournemouth were far more competitive in the second half, but Arsenal doubled their advantage when man of the match Declan Rice teed up Leandro Trossard to score 20 minutes from time.
Antoine Semenyo controversially saw a response for Bournemouth ruled out for a foul by Dominic Solanke on David Raya, before a superb strike from Gabriel was also chalked off for offside ahead of the excellent Rice notching Arsenal’s third in the final moments of stoppage time. Andoni Iraola conceded that Arsenal fully deserved to beat his Bournemouth team today, but expressed frustration at the officials and accused Kai Havertz of diving.
“I think he [Travers] was [unlucky],” Iraola told TNT Sports. “I don’t think it was a penalty.
“Havertz is the one trying to find the contact and he is diving at the end. It’s a smart decision from Kai Havertz, but I can’t understand it that the VAR hasn’t overturned it.”

David Raya has won the Premier League’s Golden Glove award in his first season at Arsenal.
The Spaniard sealed the honour with two games still to play this term after keeping his 15th clean sheet of the campaign as Mikel Arteta’s leaders beat Bournemouth 3-0 on Saturday to open up a four-point gap at the top of the table before Manchester City host Wolves in the evening kick-off.
While it has not been a completely pristine campaign for Raya, he has firmly cemented his place as Arsenal’s undisputed first-choice goalkeeper since joining on a £3million season-long loan deal from London rivals Brentford in August.

Even when Arsenal were 2-0 up, and with this game meandering to an end, Declan Rice never stopped running, writes Simon Collings at the Emirates.
That has been the case all season when it comes to Rice, who quite frankly has made a mockery of his £105million transfer fee.
Whatever happens in this title race, he has been Arsenal’s player of the season and his goal here was the icing on the cake of a comfortable victory for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Made a good save early in the second half. A relieved man when Bournemouth had a goal ruled out after it was judged that Dominic Solanke had fouled him.

Got into some promising positions early on as he overlapped Saka. Worked hard to keep Justin Kluivert quiet after the break.
William Saliba 8
Despite Arsenal’s domination, he was forced to make a number of vital tackles. A brilliant performance. Oozed class and composure.
Gabriel 6
Had a few shaky moments early on and looked nervy. Scored an outrageous half-volley, but it was ruled out for offside.
Takehiro Tomiyasu 7
Three starts in a row and he should keep his place until the end of the season. Such a reliable and solid performer.

Semenyo has the ball in the net for Bournemouth after a dreadful punch from Raya and I think Christie volleying against the crossbar.
But a foul had been given for Solanke’s minimal contact on Raya.
There may also have been a foul from Saliba on Billing in there before Solanke challenged Raya.
A lot for the VAR to sort out.

A huge, huge second goal for the Gunners to dispel any nerves!
Brilliant from Rice after Odegaard’s pass is cut out, seizing on the loose ball and flicking out to Trossard, who fires past Travers and into the bottom corner.
Relief all around the Emirates. Boy how they needed that.
