Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest – LIVE!
Tottenham moved up to fourth in the Premier League with a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
It was a rare quick start from Ange Postecoglou’s side and they were rewarded inside 15 minutes, as Timo Werner played the ball across the face of goal and a sliding Murillo could only turn it into his own net. Forest responded well though and levelled it up through the in-form Chris Wood, who swept a first-time finish past Guglielmo Vicario after good work from Anthony Elanga.
Wood should have had a second before long, after Vicario parried the ball straight into his path, but the striker somehow smacked his effort against the post from just a couple of yards out. Spurs were perhaps fortunate to make it to half-time on level terms, and Postecoglou responded by bringing on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur at the break.
The hosts restored their lead soon after the break, through a brilliant strike from Van de Ven, and they only had to wait five minutes for a third goal. James Maddison played the ball into the box, Bentancur’s header fell for Porro and he followed Van de Ven’s lead in opting for maximum power, as he rifled a strike into the back of the net, with Forest never looking like finding a response to that double setback.

Job done for Spurs!
They move up to fourth, above Aston Villa on goal difference.
Not hugely convincing at times, but second-half strikes from Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro are good enough.
90+4 mins: Hudson-Odoi beats Porro and Romero, can’t pick out Origi in the middle though.
Came after Spurs had a two-on-one break, but Kulusevski made a mess of it.
90+1 mins: Six minutes added on.
Spurs should – should – see this out comfortably.
89 mins: Hudson-Odoi sends it well over the bar.
Johnson clapped off by home and away fans, as Scarlett comes on for the final couple of minutes.
87 mins: Origi not particularly desperate to get into a race with Van de Ven, so slows things down.
Very grateful when Romero then barges into him from behind. Free-kick in a great position, just outside the area.
85 mins: Off the post!
Brilliant save from Sels, gets down well and tips Son’s strike onto the woodwork.
83 mins: All of a sudden it’s a bit of a mess at the back from Spurs.
Hojbjerg gives it away, ball bouncing around in the box as bodies fly in from everywhere.
Forest don’t make the most of it.
80 mins: There was a brief VAR check for that Danilo challenge. Just a yellow though.
Reyna is on for Forest. On loan from Dortmund, he hasn’t really made an impact since the January move.
78 mins: Welcome to the match…
Lo Celso is clattered very swiftly after coming on. Danilo caught him high, not a good challenge at all. Yellow card.
75 mins: Scrappy period in the match.
Fair few fouls, neither side able to keep possession for very long.
That will suit Spurs fine for now. Forest changes haven’t particularly worked.
Two more Spurs subs. Kulusevski and Lo Celso on, Werner and Maddison off.
