All our updates as Brentford dominate Manchester United who escape west London with a 1-1 draw in the Premier League.
This page is now closed. Thanks for joining us. These were the updates as Brentford drew 1-1 with Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday, March 30:
That’s it from our coverage of Brentford against Manchester United in the Premier League.
A 1-1 draw will mean a lot more to the Bees but they’ll know it could have been all three.
United will know that it should have been their game once they took the lead through Mason Mount in injury time.
The Champions League qualification spots look a long way off now for the Red Devils.
The Bees will be buzzing with their draw following Kristoffer Ajer’s equaliser, which puts the west London club five points clear of the relegation zone.
We hope you enjoyed the coverage of this one and can join us again on Sunday when we bring you Liverpool against Brighton and Manchester City against Arsenal.
For now though, from me Kevin Hand, it’s goodbye.

“There should have been only one winner in that game and that was us,” he told Sky Sports.
“Then you go 1-0 down and think, ‘Football is brutal’.
“What a performance. We are facing a more or less full-strength Manchester United and we completely dominated the game.
“Then we go 1-0 down and still come back and draw.
“These players deserve so much praise. They are a fantastic group of human beings to work with – unbelievable.
“There are so many fantastic characters in this team.”

“If you are winning, then you shouldn’t give it away. Normally we are a strong side and bring it over [the] line so I am very disappointed,” he told Sky Sports.
“It was absolutely unnecessary to concede that goal. We made many mistakes.
“In the final third, we were slow. Second balls, when defending, we were not good. They had more energy and that should be the other way around.
“Even when we don’t play well, we have to win the game and we almost did and that is what disappointed me the most.”
“I feel like it’s points dropped,” he told Sky Sports. “When you look at the stats, I don’t know how we only scored one goal.
“If you make that many chances, you expect to score more goals. I’m disappointed with how the game went. We should have scored more than this.
“Going into the game, I felt confident off the back of scoring my first goal for England but it wasn’t to be.”
Brentford had 31 efforts on goal with five on target – but they did hit the woodwork four times on top of those.
United had 11 shots with five on target.
The possession was relatively even but the momentum was only ever with one team.
The Bees had 85 touches in the United box compared with 16 in reverse.
87 touches is the Premier League record – that stat perhaps sums it up better than any other.
How about @BrentfordFC‘s attacking stats against @ManUtd 📊

8️⃣5️⃣ touches in the opposition box

Brentford should have had that game wrapped up long before the end of the 90 minutes but Manchester United will not believe that they could not hold on to an injury-time goal from Mason Mount.
Kristoffer Ajer’s leveller was more than deserved but both sides will feel they should have won that match – for very contrasting reasons.

There’s no time left for another clear chance and the points are shared.

United win consecutive corners but can’t make either count.
That must surely be that.
90+11 minutes: Brentford 1-1 Manchester United
Will there be a winner yet?
90+9 minutes: Brentford 1-1 Manchester United
Ivan Toney drags the ball back inside the box for Kristoffer Ajer to slam it home from close range.
90+8 minutes: Brentford 1-1 Manchester United
It’s been all Brentford but United sweep forward on the counterattack and Bruno Fernandes lays the ball to the left where Mason Mount overlaps.
The former Chelsea midfielder slides the ball home to break Brentford’s hearts in west London.
90+6 minutes: Brentford 0-1 Manchester United
Mason Mount has won it deep into injury time!
90+6 minutes: Brentford 0-1 Manchester United
The United skipper fumes as he is tugged back on the halfway line when looking to counter.
The away side do get the ball into the box from the free kick but it won’t sit up for a visiting player and the Bees clear.
90+4 minutes: Brentford 0-0 Manchester United
Diogo Dalot and Neal Maupay are both down injured after a collision and have been for two minutes, so it will be more than the nine minutes that have just gone up on the board.
90+1 minutes: Brentford 0-0 Manchester United
Saman Ghoddos and Neal Maupay replace Keane Lewis-Potter and Mads Roerslev.
88 minutes: Brentford 0-0 Manchester United
The forward seems to be through on the left but the United defence recover their ground. A free kick moments after on the right edge of the box comes to nothing.
87 minutes: Brentford 0-0 Manchester United
Bryan Mbeumo’s corner is met at the near post by Ivan Toney but his volley is just over.
The United goal has led a merry life in this match.
83 minutes: Brentford 0-0 Manchester United
Casemiro replaces Kobbie Mainoo, while Mason Mount takes the place of Marcus Rashford.
Bruno Fernandes has a tame effort from range, which is straight at the keeper.
80 minutes: Brentford 0-0 Manchester United
Bryan Mbeumo is the latest Brentford player to be denied by the woodwork as he meets a ball into the box with a first-time drive.
The ball thunders back off the bar.
79 minutes: Brentford 0-0 Manchester United
It’s a comfortable save for Andre Onana.
Antony had a similar effort for United just before the Brentford goal that was ruled out for offside.
The Brazilian’s effort was just off target.
76 minutes: Brentford 0-0 Manchester United
It’s another ball over the top for Ivan Toney and the striker once again stretches on the volley.
The tightest of offside calls rules out what was a fine finish.
The flag went up early and VAR agreed.
74 minutes: Brentford 0-0 Manchester United
Yoane Wissa makes way for Bryan Mbeumo. Mikkel Damsgaard replaces Yehor Yarmoliuk.
71 minutes: Brentford 0-0 Manchester United
Keane Lewis-Potter hits a bicycle kick over from just 8 yards after successive corners for Brentford.
Maybe this just isn’t meant to be for the Bees.
70 minutes: Brentford 0-0 Manchester United
Victor Lindelof has gone down in the box and Lisandro Martinez immediately strips off.
Looks like United were wary this may have been coming.
68 minutes: Brentford 0-0 Manchester United
Ivan Toney hits a first-time volley on the edge of the box, from a long ball over the top, but the effort is just over.
It was a fine strike, full of power, despite the stretch required to meet the pass.
