More tales from the American Revolution at Chelsea.
Last week, Mail Sport revealed Manchester United’s Phil Lynch was to become the latest compatriot of co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali to join their executive team which already includes commercial boss Todd Kline and chief executive Chris Jurasek.
Details of an extraordinary agreement in which chairmanship of the club could be passed between Boehly and Eghbali every five years also emerged.
Clearlake company man Jurasek has made quite the impression since joining last May, and is not afraid to call it as he sees it.
Indeed, in a recent staff meeting with new starters he was asked if he supported Chelsea. To paraphrase, and to open mouths, he responded that he was ‘not really a football fan’ before adding that he refers to the game at Premier League meeting as ‘a product and our fans as customers – which people get mad at’.

A Manchester City season ticket holder will play a key role in Manchester United’s plans to redevelop Old Trafford.
Last week, to great fanfare, United announced a big-hitting task force to oversee plans for a new stadium and the regeneration of the surrounding area.
Led by Lord Coe, clearly viewed as the key to unlock government funding, the power group also included ex-United captain Gary Neville and Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham.
However, the fourth member not so widely known is chief executive of Trafford Council Sara Todd. Not only is Todd, a Mancunian and planner by trade, a regular at the Etihad Stadium – she is also a trustee of the City in the Community Foundation and will be well-placed to speak about her club’s regeneration of east Manchester.
Paul Pogba was due to speak about his range of investments outside football at the Bloomberg business summit in Saudi on Thursday – but with an appeal over a four-year ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport pending he pulled out.
It is understood Pogba, who is determined to clear his name, did so because he does not want to disrespect the process and trial judges by stating his case in public before he has had the opportunity to put it before them.
While the France international was due to discuss his business interests with Bloomberg, he would inevitably have been asked about the failed drugs test and subsequent ban.

Arsenal legend Tony Adams has finally won a two year-battle to convert stables into a guest suite his £3.5million Cotswolds mansion – after bats were found roosting in the roof.
The former Gunners captain, 57, and whisky heiress wife Poppy Teacher want to turn the former snooker room into a two-bedroom annexe with rooflights. But a bat survey found the Cotswold stone outbuilding is being used as a night roost for lesser horseshoe, serotine and brown long-eared bats – a protected species.
Analysis of bat droppings in a first floor hayloft revealed the presence of the three different species.
However, planners at Cotswolds Council have now given the plans the green light – as long as Adams builds a dedicated bat loft in a nearby garage and gym to give them another home.
Nottingham Forest have threatened to leave the City Ground amid a row with the council over rent – and they have no fewer than four options for a new home. The club lease the land on which their iconic base since 1898 sits from the local authority, who are now demanding the £250,000 rent is increased to £1m.
That prompted chairman Tom Cartledge to comment that unless there was ‘significant progress’ they may have to ‘look elsewhere’. That elsewhere could be land bought – and now not needed – for HS2.
The Independent Alliance opposition group on Notts County Council say the Toton site could be an ideal home and will attempt to move a motion at a meeting later this month.
However, Cartledge told Agenda Toton is not the only alternative. ‘Since we made public our frustration with the city council we have been delighted with the response from a wide-range of organisations in the region,’ he said.
‘As a result we have had four potential sites proposed to us. While we prefer to remain at the City Ground we are now evaluating those options.’

The requisitionists surprised with the level of support they attracted at the MCC’s special general meeting last week, with the committee no-doubt concerned that more may now follow.
Such meetings are expensive and time-consuming and officials may well seek to change the ruling that only 180 signatures are required to call one.
A total of 6,054 votes were cast on an unlikely resolution which called for members to be able to choose the next chairman instead of the committee. Of those, 2,598 were in favour with 3,444 against and 12 invalid.
England’s shock victory over Ireland on Saturday triggered a salty reaction from many of their players on social media afterwards.
Jamie George led the charge, liking a tweet responding to a quote from Irish great Ronan O’Gara that declared the level of English rugby had ‘gone very, very, VERY low’ with: ‘England boys: “hold our beer ya doughnut”.’ Will Stuart and Ben Earl also aimed more subtle digs.
Kids in Dharamshala will be playing in Joe Root and Ben Stokes’ gear after they donated their kit
A positive note to report from the chastening end of England’s Tour of India. With Ben Stokes and co changing their kit for the start of summer, players and staff decided to hand over their gear to the local association in Dharamshala.
That means that from this week local kids will be turning out with Joe Root and Stokes’s bats, pads and gloves. The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association are also providing t-shirts, tracksuits and shorts.
