Naija News earlier reported that Multichoice on Thursday, December 15, 2022, announced the Big Brother franchise will commence on January 15, 2023.
He said the show which will hold in South Africa, will be a mix of BBNaija and Big Brother Mzansi of South Africa housemates.
On what to expect, he disclosed that the BBTitans edition will run for 72 days, and the winner will go home with a prize of $100,000 cash which is equivalent to N50 million.
Considering the buzz the reality tv show often creates online, many Nigerians are worried about youth involvement in the forthcoming 2023 general elections stating the show would be a distraction.
Reacting to this, Ebuka during the press conference of the ‘Big Brother Titans’ said youths can actively participate in the TV show and the general election.
According to him, Nigerian youths are complex enough to understand the time of going out to exercise their civic right and watching the reality TV show.
He said: “It is not a little too much to believe that you will not focus on multiple things at the same time. I think young Nigerians are complex enough to understand that they can watch something and go out when it is time to vote.
“I don’t think anything can distract you when it is time to perform your civic duty. People have registered and they have their PVCs elections are going to be on and people will go out to vote. So I don’t see that as a distraction”
